Knollwood Kids are finishing up their academic years, and we can hardly wait to have them around the farm more.

Camp starts next Monday with a Tiny Tot session as well as an academy week.

We’re rolling into Knollwood Summer 2026.

First, a recap of last weekend:

Our academy team made the trip to Beyond Stable Farm for the first ever Monarch May Classic show.

Created and managed by the same team that bring us the Monarch Series  shows and National Championship, this new addition was a beautiful addition to our show season.

Our riders enjoyed riding in the beautiful covered outdoor ring, loved the hospitality that made everything fun, and the organized team running the weekend.

Parents of our walk and trot riders really enjoyed their sunny Sunday sipping mimosas while watching their kids show. The riders loved the lemonade stand and bracelet making station.

Action in the ring was wonderful, too.

On Saturday, Gracie rode at her very first academy show, and Finley L showed in walk, trot, and canter for the first time.

Our Sunday riders really enjoyed riding their expansive pattern in the huge arena, and hanging out in the sun.

Big thanks to our show techs Dilly and Kali for keeping our horses in great shape, and helping our riders look very put together.

The techs did manage to find time to trail ride on Saturday, and Leon and Sport thought it was a wonderful idea.

Here Comes a Big One

The show barn is heading to Springfield, Illinois this weekend for the Midwest Charity Horse Show. Held in the most beautiful arena for a horse show, this competition brings together some of the best horses and riders in the country.

Team Knollwood will be in the thick of the competition  with talented equitation riders and flashy performance riders.

The show is being webcast on Richfield Video, and here’s the link to watch. We’ll post our schedule prior to the show start.

Oshkosh Summer Classic Horse Show

Sunnyview Expo Center

June 24-27

Come enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin summer and see an action packed horse show. The grounds are a park, the hospitality is unmatched, and the horses and riders are beautiful.

We’ll be there with show horses and our academy team.

Trust us, it’s worth the trip.

Independence Day

July 4

We’ll be closed for the day, and all lessons will be rescheduled.

Lexington Junior League Horse Show

Kentucky Horse Park

July 6-11

One of the oldest shows in the country, and one of the most beautiful.

The show boasts terrific competition in beautiful Rolex Stadium. It’s pure southern charm with lots of glam, and some summer thunderstorms thrown in.

Team Knollwood will be there soaking up the ambience, and competing with the best in the country.

It’s webcast for an additional fee, and we’ll post the link.

ASAW Summerfun Horse Show

Wisconsin State Fair Park

July 9-12

While most of the show horses will be competing in Lexington, our academy team and some show horses will be at our ‘home show’ at State Fair Park.

We love the show with its airy coliseum, the friendly atmosphere, and strong competition. We are in area of the country known for its strong academy programs, and the Saturday morning classes are not to be missed.

If you’ve never seen a horse show, here’s a chance to see a good one, AND to sleep in your own bed!

If you’re thinking of showing academy next year, please come watch the Saturday academy performance at 10:00 AM. And be sure to come back to our stabling area for a visit!

Knockout Car Wash

Hartland Piggly Wiggly

Sunday July 19

It’s our most favorite fundraiser of the year!

All Knockouts are asked to work a shift of the carwash, which is a big moneyraiser for the club.

When you work a shift, you get to wash some cars AND work in the brat stand selling goodies.

Knollwood Summer Show

August 21-23

The summer celebration is coming up!

The show will be judged by esteemed horse person Terri Anne Ulmann. Last time she judged for us, she fell in love with Pumpkin. Who do you think her favorite will be this time?

The show is sponsored by Much To Doo Event Daycare. We thank them for their generosity.

These big weekend events succeed with lots of help from supportive parents and riders. Please consider helping out with the show using this link.

Olympics, here we come!

See you soon at the barn or at the in gate!
