To support and promote equitation, horsemanship, and friendships through service to others.
Knollwood students and their families can take part in special activities conducted throughout the year by the farms very own chartered riding club, the Knollwood Knockouts.
The Knockouts are chartered by the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) and exist for the purpose of furthering the education of the public about the American Saddlebred breed.
The Knockouts group is one of the oldest and most successful youth groups in the association. In 2015 and in 2017, the club was awarded the 'Youth to the Rescue' award from Saddlebred Rescue for their continued support of the organization. They were also awarded a spot on the Roll of Honor at the American Saddlebred Museum in Lexington by the American Saddlebred Association of Wisconsin for their continued support of the group, and in particular, their donations to the scholarship program.
The Knockouts members are young people and adults interested in horses, who plan and participate in programs and events which benefit the club, the Saddlebred business and the community.
The Knockouts introduce the general public to American Saddlebreds and riding through their many scheduled functions and community service activities. They also support a number of youth scholarships through local equine organizations.
The club is composed of and governed by riding students. Elections are held annually for the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
The Knockouts are overseen by Nancy Turner and Ann Wilt, Riding School Directors.
The Knollwood Knockouts are a great source of fun for everyone involved. Getting together is a great way to meet new friends and develop barn spirit! The Knockouts meet several times a year on Saturday afternoons in the Knollwood Farm Show Barn Lounge.
