Woo Hoo!

It’s a local show weekend!

Thirteen show horses are ready in Madison for the Wisconsin Futurity Horse Festival which began tonight (Wednesday). The show is held in the New Holland Pavilion at the Alliant Center, and features everything from weanlings showing for the first time to seasoned show horses to the state championships of the academy division.

We hope you can join us to see our show horses perform through Saturday morning, or join us for the academy performance which will start around noon on Saturday. We have 13 riders competing in academy, and the classes look nice and big.

Come join us, and cheer on Team Knollwood! Be sure to stop by our aisle to say ‘Hello’ to your favorite horse, too!

School barn lessons will continue as usual at home throughout the show.

What’s Coming Up?

The holidays are coming!

We’re ordering classic navy Knollwood jackets through the Fall show. These navy beauties come in Misses sizes XS-XL, and only cost $125. Size samples are available in the school barn lounge. Unfortunately, we haven’t found anything comparable in youth sizes.

We ARE looking at color availability in quarter zips in youth sizes, so stay tuned!

We’re also ordering our popular Jellybean Jods in a heavier fabric for Fall and Winter through October 9. These will be black with tan patches and embroidery, and WILL include one cell phone pocket for the price of $99.

Additional pockets and size adjustments are available for an additional fee.

We have size samples in navy, and expect our black sample any day!

The Knollwood Show is coming up fast!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with set-up, the concession stand, and lots of other tasks that are essential to the success of the weekend. Helping at the show is a wonderful way to meet new friends, and fulfill your club service requirement to earn a high point award at the banquet.

You can sign up here.

Gift basket sign up sheets are ready for your donations.

In addition to the traditional baskets, we have two new items!

You can bid on a fun pattern class with all proceeds benefiting the Knockouts.

You can also bid for the chance to give Scott a lesson.

He volunteered for the chance to be taught by Knollwood Kids. So, the highest bidders get to teach World Champion trainer and instructor for half an hour...if they last that long!

Scott is REALLY looking forward to this, and we expect it to be a high ticket item. Remember, all proceeds go directly to the Knockouts.

Gearing up for Academy 2023!

We’ve had many inquiries about academy showing in 2023, and we’re hosting a parent meeting on Friday October 14 at 6:00 PM. We’ll provide information including discussion about riding commitment and approximate costs.

It’s a parent only meeting, since we’re talking about time and pricing. We’ll host a meeting for riders and parents later in the winter.

See you soon at the barn, or at the in-gate!
