SUMMER RIDING SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Summer Riding School

Knollwood Farm’s summer riding school is a unique opportunity for children and young adults ages 7-17 to learn all about horses and have fun doing it during sessions from June through August. Each Summer Riding School session closes with a mini horse show and cookout.

At Knollwood's Summer Riding School you will learn:

  • How to conduct yourself safely around horses.
  • The English Saddle Seat riding discipline – Beginner through Advanced.
  • Proper horse care, including grooming, tacking up, feeding, etc.
  • Different breeds, types and colors of horses.
  • Types of horse equipment and how to care for it.
  • Horse anatomy and psychology.
  • Sportsmanship and Showmanship.
  • And much more!

Rates: $325.00 per week

Student Application

10% discount on additional sessions or second child from the same family.

Send in application along with a 50% deposit on session. Please check to make sure your Student Application is signed in both places. Failure to list all necessary information can result in forfeiture of deposit.

Students need to bring their own lunch and snacks. A soda machine is available at the stable. (Bring change.)

Safety is our most important concern. Proper attire is required. All students must wear sturdy, hard-soled shoes or boots and long pants made of a soft material.

NO RIDER WILL BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN SHORTS, CAPRIS OR SANDALS.

HELMETS ARE PROVIDED.

Please make sure to notify us, in writing, of all necessary information regarding the teaching of your child. Please note the “Special Needs” section on the Student Application. Failure to properly complete this section can result in a nonrefundable termination of lessons.

All camp fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable for missed days or sessions.
