Knollwood had a great time at the Mid-America Summer Show last weekend. Nine academy and ‘B’ horses travelled to Ledges in Roscoe, Illinois to compete in the huge outdoor arena in very large, deep classes. While the heat made for some challenges, everyone enjoyed friends, shade, cool drinks of water and lots of fans!

Pattern class winners at Mid America
Friday’s performance included some ‘B’ classes and the open pleasure classes. Knollwood riders finished first through fourth in the walk/trot/canter pattern class. In the walk/trot division, our riders finished first and second!
Sunny Saturday morning included a full slate of academy classes. Special thanks to all the great parents who kept the riders cool and hydrated between rides. Rachelle was the walk/trot /canter equitation champion with Gina in reserve. In the walk/trot division, Ainsley won the first split with Haley reserve and Jess a close third. In the second split of the championship, Maria finished a string third.

Even the dogs were melting!
Sunday finished up with championship classes for the ‘B’ riders. Savannah performed a beautiful pattern and finished reserve in the equitation championship with Taylor in 3rd.
Thanks to all our riders and friends who helped make the show a very enjoyable one for all. Next weekend, we’re off to the ASAW/Knockouts Summer Show in Waukesha.
